Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Interventional Radiology team. You will deliver patient-centred care across pre-assessment, sedation, peri-procedural support and post-procedure recovery, while upholding the NMC Code and safety standards.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to educate patients and junior staff, participate in audits and quality improvement, and contribute to a compassionate, professional culture within a renowned London

Qualifications

• Registered General nurse (level 1) – essential
• Degree in Nursing – essential

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within Interventional Radiology, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Deliver specialist care including pre-assessment, conscious sedation, medication administration, post-procedure recovery and management of deteriorating patients.
• Demonstrate specialist clinical skills by assisting with procedures, monitoring patients, maintaining radiation safety, and ensuring safe patient handovers and transfers.
• Support service delivery and development by maintaining high standards of practice, participating in audits, quality improvement and research, and contributing to local policies and guidelines.
• Provide teaching, supervision and mentorship to students, healthcare support workers and junior staff, supporting professional development and competency achievement.
