Interventional Radiology (IR) is an ever expanding speciality offering the newest most up to date technologies within modern medicine. Plus diagnostic, ultrasound, biopsy's & cardiac angio's.The role of an IR Practitioner requires a range of skills from pre-assessment, perioperative care (scrub and circulating), and post anaesthetic care following the procedure. Conscious sedation is provided, following adequate training to keep the patient's comfortable & relaxed during the procedure.
