Teaching Personnel is pleased to be partnering with a forward-thinking and supportive secondary school in Sunderland, currently seeking a dedicated and motivated educator to support the academic progress of new Year 7 students. This full-time role presents a fulfilling opportunity to assist learners in both English and Maths, aiming to bridge the attainment gap from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3.
The appointed candidate will lead sessions with small groups of pupils who are beginning secondary education below the expected level in English and/or Maths. This targeted intervention initiative has proven highly effective and is now being extended to benefit additional students.
About the Role:
Leading intervention sessions in English and Maths at Key Stage 3
Offering personalised support to lower-attaining Year 7 students
Working collaboratively with staff to improve academic outcomes
Duties can be adapted based on your subject strengths and teaching experience
Ideal for:
A primary-trained teacher seeking experience in a secondary setting
Someone with knowledge of KS2/KS3 transitions or middle school teaching
An individual committed to inclusive education and pupil achievement

Background in English and/or Maths

Pay rate will be based on qualifications and relevant experience
