Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd. is actively seeking SEND tutors and teachers across the UK to deliver Maths, English or Science tuition in person, online, or hybrid settings for schools and local authorities.

You will work with disengaged and vulnerable learners, applying trauma-informed approaches to support SEMH and SEND needs, while maintaining safeguarding and compliance throughout your tutoring journey. Flexible hours, competitive pay (£28-£35 per hour), and opportunities to develop professionally

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) required
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references required

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to learners with SEND/SEMH needs
• Plan and report lessons and provide regular feedback on progress
• Ensure safeguarding and Safer Recruitment compliance throughout tutoring assignments

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
