Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd is seeking SEND tutors and teachers for flexible, self-employed roles across the UK. You will deliver maths, English or science tuition in-person, online or hybrid, with support from our SEND team.

We welcome candidates with 2+ years teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, Enhanced DBS and safeguarding knowledge. Join a mission-driven organisation helping disengaged learners reach their potential.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years teaching experience with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD in trauma-informed settings.
  • Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
  • Qualifications: QTS/QTLS
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references
  • Location: Based in the UK with right to work in the UK, including remote/online roles
  • Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and safe learning environments

Responsibilities

  • Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children and young people with SEMH/SEND needs.
  • Support pupils from KS1 - KS5 with trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
  • Plan and report lessons and provide feedback on student progress.
  • Contribute to raising the standard of education for SEND learners.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:
  • Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
  • Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
  • Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
  • Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:
  • Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
  • Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
  • Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
  • We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
