Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd is recruiting SEND Tutors and Teachers to work with schools and local authorities across the UK. You will deliver Maths, English or Science tuition in person, online or hybrid settings to young people with SEMH and SEND needs.

The role requires at least 2 years of teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, enhanced DBS and safeguarding knowledge. You can work flexibly, with part-time or full-time hours, and opportunities for CPD and mentoring while contributing to a mission to raise

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5, referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• Support the mission to raise the standard of education for young people with SEND and SEMH needs

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
