Job summary

Fletcher George is recruiting a Financial Accountant for its international group based at the Leatherhead head office. The role offers exposure to European VAT, multi-currency accounting, and statutory reporting across UK and Europe.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ ACA / CIMA/ ICAS or equivalent qualification.
• Part-qualified with practical experience considered.
• Experience in international, multi-currency or high-volume environments.
• European VAT or cross-border transaction experience.
• Strong communicator across countries.
• Proactive and detail-oriented with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Preparing quarterly VAT returns across several European jurisdictions.
• Managing high volumes of transactions in different currencies.
• Ensuring VAT treatment of imports and cross-border transactions.
• Supporting financial governance and controls across the businesses.
• Assisting with statutory and financial reporting.
• Supporting payroll activities for the UK team.
• Working with Xero and the Group's CRM system.
• Liaising with colleagues and advisers across the UK and Europe.
• Providing broader accounting support to the finance team and wider business.
• Supporting the integration of new businesses as the Group grows.
