Job summary

Fletcher George is hiring an Accountant to join the Head Office in Leatherhead. The role focuses on international VAT, multi-currency transactions and supporting payroll for the UK team across three Group businesses.

You will work in a small finance team, maintain robust financial governance, and handle quarterly VAT returns across several European jurisdictions using Xero and other cloud accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with international VAT and cross-border reporting.
• Ability to manage high volumes of multi-currency transactions.
• Familiarity with payroll support and statutory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Preparing quarterly VAT returns across European jurisdictions.
• Managing high volumes of transactions in multiple currencies.
• Ensuring correct VAT treatment of imports and cross-border transactions.
• Maintaining financial governance and controls.
• Supporting the wider accounting needs of three Group businesses.
• Assisting with statutory reporting and UK payroll.
• Working with Xero and other cloud accounting systems.
• Liaising with colleagues and external advisers.
