Job summary

Rise Resourcing is recruiting for a premier, global toy brand owner and distributor to hire an International Compliance Manager. You will take full ownership of product safety and regulatory standards across the UK and international markets, embedding compliant practices into the product development lifecycle.

Reporting to the Head of Buying, you will lead testing programmes, risk assessments, technical files, supplier oversight, and packaging compliance, helping the business balance compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the toy industry with international product compliance exposure.
• In-depth knowledge of global toy safety legislation, testing standards, test report reviews, and technical files.
• Ability to find compliant, creative solutions rather than simply flagging roadblocks.
• Confident, proactive, and able to break down complex regulations for internal teams, suppliers, and retail partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage product compliance from initial concept through to artwork sign-off, testing, and range management.
• Determine target-market standards, manage risk assessments, technical files, BOMs, and age-grading/labelling requirements.
• Oversee testing programmes with accredited labs, toxicologists, and technical specialists.
• Work closely with Far East suppliers, global retail clients, and enforcement bodies (e.g. Trading Standards, OPSS).
• Oversee ethical sourcing documentation, factory audits, and packaging/waste compliance data.
