Job summary

Arnold Clark in Glasgow on South Street is seeking an experienced Internal Verifier and Technical Trainer to monitor and improve the quality and effectiveness of our technical training delivery. You will provide technical guidance and QA support to trainers to keep programmes current and aligned with industry requirements.

You will manage IMI processes, registrations, certification claims, learner reviews and IQA sampling, driving improvements in learner achievement and curriculum quality across

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an assessor in automotive/technical training.
• Experience delivering technical training and mentoring trainers.
• Ability to monitor, evaluate and improve training quality and learner performance.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Qualified to Level 7 or equivalent in automotive sector.

Full time: Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm

About The Role

As an Internal Verifier and Technical Trainer, you will monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of our technical training delivery, identifying opportunities to improve learner performance, curriculum quality and training standards.

You will also provide technical guidance, mentoring and quality assurance support to trainers to ensure programmes remain current, engaging and aligned with industry requirements.

Day-to-day duties

• Manage and administer IMI processes, including registrations, certification claims, learner reviews, and IQA sampling activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
• Lead the monitoring and evaluation of technical training programmes, using performance data and quality indicators to identify and implement improvements in learner achievement, curriculum quality, and overall training effectiveness.
• Oversee all IMI quality and compliance activities, including registrations, certification claims, learner progress reviews, and IQA verification of learner evidence, ensuring adherence to awarding body standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and quality assurance support to trainers, ensuring programmes remain current, engaging, and aligned with industry and employer requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of technical training delivery, identifying opportunities to enhance learner performance, improve curriculum content, and raise training standards.
