FQPS Academy Ltd. is seeking an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) for Paralegal Practice to ensure the quality, consistency, fairness, and validity of assessment decisions for Focus Awards Level 3 (RQF).

You will plan IQA strategy, sample learner work, conduct standardisation meetings, monitor assessor performance, and produce IQA reports to support centre quality procedures and external visits. Required: Law degree or related qualification, Level 4 IQA or equivalent, teaching/assessor

Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) – Paralegal Practice

To ensure the quality, consistency, fairness, and validity of assessment decisions for the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Paralegal Practice (RQF), supporting compliance with awarding organisation requirements and centre quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and maintain the Internal Quality Assurance strategy.
• Sample learner work, assessment decisions, and assessor feedback.
• Conduct assessor standardisation and support meetings.
• Monitor assessor performance and identify development needs.
• Produce IQA reports and maintain quality assurance records.
• Ensure assessment practices remain valid, reliable, fair, and compliant.
• Support external quality assurance visits and action planning.
• Monitor learner achievement, assessment practices, and compliance risks.

• Occupational competency in the legal sector.
• Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (IQA) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience conducting internal quality assurance activities.
• Strong understanding of RQF qualifications and assessment principles.
• Excellent report writing and record keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Degree in Law or related legal qualification.
• Experience working with regulated qualifications and awarding organisations.
• Teaching and assessor qualifications.
• Previous EQA/IQA experience in legal or professional qualifications.
