Job summary

The NHS in London seeks an experienced internal communications professional to join the Communications and Engagement team. You will produce high-quality content for internal channels, including news stories, social posts, graphics, podcasts and videos, and support department campaigns.

You will advise content owners, manage publishing plans on LASConnect, monitor content, train staff where needed and help keep staff well informed about organisational developments.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a communications related field or equivalent knowledge.
• Proven experience delivering internal and digital communications in a complex organisation.
• Experience with content management, publishing platforms, stakeholder engagement and internal campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Provide communications advice to colleagues on channels and audience reach, with creative thinking.
• Support internal communications during major incidents with plans and templates.
• Develop internal news releases and publications using digital tools and intranet CMS.
• Maintain information systems for intranet content and livestream broadcasting.
• Update the editorial grid with planned content.
• Support surveys and focus groups to evaluate team work.
• Work independently within the department and manage own workload.
