We are looking for a Digital Engagement Manager to join the Digital and Transformation Group in DWP.

As part of the UK's largest government department, you'll help shape and deliver communications that support over 8,000 colleagues across DTG as they transform digital services for more than 22 million customers.

As a Digital Engagement Manager, you'll shape compelling communications, identify and share impactful stories, and deliver engagement campaigns that connect people with our vision and priorities. Working with a wide range of stakeholders, you'll turn complex information into clear, accessible and actionable communications, creating innovative content across a range of channels including intranet platforms, newsletters, emails, presentations, infographics and video. Using insight, evidence and colleague feedback, you'll ensure communications are timely, relevant and effective, while championing accessibility, best practice and continuous improvement in internal communications and engagement.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
  • Experience of planning, leading, delivering and evaluating complex communications campaigns, working collaboratively across teams and stakeholders, and applying industry recognised frameworks, methodologies and best practice to achieve clear and measurable outcomes.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, accessible and engaging written content, demonstrating strong drafting skills and the ability to communicate information effectively.
  • Experience in using feedback, data and user insight to inform decision making, refine campaign plans and continuously improve outcomes, demonstrating an evidence-based approach to delivery.
  • Proven proficiency in using digital tools and Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams, SharePoint, Planner and related platforms, to support effective collaboration, organise workload and deliver high quality communications and engagement outcomes.
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuous professional development, actively seeking opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills, sharing best practice with others, and applying learning to drive continuous improvement in communications delivery.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.

Pay: We offer competitive pay of £44,447.

Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%.

Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.

You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
