Job summary

Macmillan Cancer Support is seeking a senior internal communications lead to partner with the Executive team, shaping engagement and change communications across the organisation. You will provide expert counsel, develop strategic plans, and help bring Macmillan's work and culture to life for colleagues.

Job description

In this role, you'll work closely with senior leaders and directorates to drive colleague engagement, shape internal communications, and support effective organisational change. Acting as a trusted adviser, you'll provide expert communications counsel, develop impactful engagement strategies, and help bring Macmillan's work and culture to life for colleagues across the organisation.,

Responsibilities

• Partner with Executive team members and senior leaders, providing expert advice, coaching and support on internal communications and engagement.
• Lead strategic communications planning, delivery and evaluation across directorates.
• Support and drive Macmillan's approach to change communications, ensuring colleagues are informed, engaged and supported through change.
• Develop and share compelling stories and content that showcase Macmillan's impact and priorities.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation, aligning communications activity and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
• Provide strategic communications consultancy, including support on reputation management, emerging issues and organisational risks.
• Lead and coordinate communications activity across multiple teams and channels to ensure a consistent colleague experience.
• Manage, coach and develop team members and matrix teams, creating an inclusive, high-performing environment where people can thrive.

You'll be a highly credible communications professional with significant experience operating at a senior level and influencing leaders across a complex organisation. You'll combine strategic thinking with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for engaging colleagues through effective communication.

You will have:

• The ability to navigate complexity, manage competing priorities and secure buy-in from senior decision-makers.
