Job summary

Standard Life is seeking an experienced Internal Communications & Engagement Manager to shape how colleagues experience our strategy, culture and leadership. This role goes beyond traditional communications, influencing enterprise priorities, supporting senior leaders and driving engagement across the business.

You'll craft compelling stories, build trusted relationships and deliver strategic communications that help colleagues understand and connect with our goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal communications, colleague engagement, leadership communications and/or change communications.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent writing, storytelling and presentation skills.
• Experience developing and delivering strategic communications and engagement plans.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Experience using insight, feedback and data to improve communications and engagement activity.

Location: Birmingham office based, with flexibility to work from home

Salary and benefits: £53,000 – 65,000 DOE salary, plus an indicative bonus of 16-32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

We're looking for an experienced and ambitious Internal Communications & Engagement Manager to join our team and help shape how colleagues experience our strategy, culture and leadership. This is far more than a communications role. It's an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide priorities, support senior leaders, drive engagement and bring big strategic stories to life for colleagues across the business.

You’ll work at the centre of some of our most important priorities, helping create meaningful colleague experiences that build understanding, connection, pride and performance.

You’ll be naturally curious about people, culture and communication and enjoy building trusted relationships with stakeholders.

You’ll know how to craft compelling stories and engaging experiences, but you’ll also understand how communications and engagement can help organisations perform, change and grow.

Essential

• Experience in internal communications, colleague engagement, leadership communications and/or change communications
