Job description

This is a great opportunity to join Dementia UK’s People Team and develop your experience in internal communications and employee engagement, while helping to make Dementia UK a great place to work.

Working closely with our Internal Communications and Engagement Manager, you’ll help create and share engaging content across our internal channels, including our intranet, staff newsletter and internal announcements. You’ll also support staff networks, help organise events and conferences, and use surveys and other feedback channels to gather insights and stories from colleagues across the charity.

Writing is an important part of this role, so you’ll be a confident writer with excellent attention to detail and an interest in creating clear and engaging communications. You don’t need previous experience in an internal communications role, but you’ll be keen to learn and excited by the opportunity to develop your skills in this area.

Alongside communications and engagement, you’ll provide administrative support to the wider People Team. This will include managing inboxes, coordinating meetings, processing invoices and helping with other day-to-day activities.

You’ll bring strong administration and organisational skills, with the ability to manage different priorities and meet deadlines. You’ll be confident using Microsoft 365, able to use your own initiative and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with others.

Above all, you’ll be proactive, flexible and enthusiastic about getting involved. If you enjoy writing, working with people and making things happen, we’d love to hear from you.
