Job summary

Railpen is seeking an Engagement Delivery Manager to own end-to-end audit and assurance engagements across diverse business activities. You will partner with Senior Internal Audit Managers to deliver high-quality, evidence-based assurance with autonomy and accountability.

The role emphasizes value and insight over tick-box auditing, requiring strong stakeholder engagement, commercial awareness and sound judgement to identify improvements and support Railpen's long-term objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering end-to-end internal audit or assurance engagements within complex organisations.
• Strong professional judgement and evidence-based conclusions.
• Ability to work in outcomes-focused environments with accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning to reporting and action agreement.
• Apply independence and professional scepticism to assess risks, controls, and processes.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders while maintaining credibility and objectivity.
• Translate evidence into clear, decision-useful insights for management.
• Identify themes, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Influence through clear communication and constructive challenge.
