Job summary

RSM UK in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Senior Manager/Associate Director to lead the internal audit service for a portfolio of clients, working closely with Directors and Partners. You will manage engagements, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality delivery across assurance and advisory work.

You will apply IIA standards, oversee risk-based audits, and help develop business through proposals and thought leadership, all within our hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering internal audit engagements to deadlines.
• Ability to apply IIA standards to engagements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Proactive leader who can develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of internal audit engagements for a portfolio of clients.
• Directly work with Directors and Partners on engagements and reporting.
• Manage engagement resources, budgets and timetables.
• Develop senior staff and audit team members.
• Prepare audit committee papers and annual reports.
