Job summary

Brewer Morris in Reading is seeking a Director to lead and grow the Risk & Assurance offering. The role blends senior client delivery with business development, proposition building and team leadership.

You will work with a varied portfolio across internal audit, risk, governance and controls, shaping solutions around technology, data analytics and AI to meet evolving regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within internal audit, risk, governance, controls or a closely related assurance and advisory environment

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and continued development of internal audit, risk, governance and controls advisory services
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, developing a strong network across Reading and the wider Thames Valley market
• Originate new business opportunities and play a leading role in converting relationships into sustainable client engagements
• Advise organisations on strengthening governance, risk management and control frameworks, including evolving corporate governance requirements
• Develop innovative client solutions incorporating technology, data analytics and AI where appropriate
• Work collaboratively with senior leaders across other service lines to identify opportunities and deliver broader, integrated advisory solutions
• Represent the practice externally through market engagement, relationship building and relevant regional events
• Support the continued development of the Risk & Assurance proposition while providing leadership and direction to the wider team
