Intermediate Structural Engineer

Salary: Up to GBP36k

I am currently recruiting for an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join a dynamic and thriving Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Surrey. My client is an expanding firm with a strong emphasis on high-end residential projects, as well as a diverse range of work, including new housing developments, refurbishment projects, and collaborations with housing associations on affordable housing schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Intermediate Structural Engineer, you will report directly to the Senior Engineer and take on key responsibilities within a variety of projects. Your role will include:

1. Preparing structural and drainage designs and calculations for new builds and renovation projects
2. Conducting site visits and attending design team meetings for ongoing projects
3. Carrying out structural inspections, reporting on defects, and advising on remedial works
4. Preparing residential drainage designs for UK projects

Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this Intermediate Structural Engineering role, you will need:

1. A relevant degree (BSc or equivalent)
2. Minimum of 2 years professional experience, preferably in the residential sector
3. A proven ability to produce structural designs and supporting calculations
4. A strong desire to work towards ICE or IStruct.E chartered status
5. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and client relations skills
