They offer a working environment which is stimulating, challenging, and rewarding. Training is provided for all staff, ranging from technical seminars to other aspects which affect the working environment. For graduates and engineers, they offer mentoring in the early years of their career and support junior staff through day release and modern apprenticeship schemes.

From this, they can proceed to achieve professional qualifications and Institution membership. All staff are encouraged and supported to develop their technical, management, and business experience to enable growth into senior positions and complex engineering solutions.

You will be working as part of a design team and responsible for the provision of structural drawings, specifications, design, reports, and attending external/internal meetings. You will work with external partners on state-of-the-art design projects including new build and refurbishments in London and the South-East.

There is an emphasis on building design projects, with work spanning across all major building types, with a particular focus on residential sectors.

Responsibilities

  2. Meeting client requirements and project time frames.
  3. Working on a variety of projects, designs, and materials used.
  4. Serving as a structural engineer on projects large and small.
  5. Liaising with and leading other members of the design team to achieve a coordinated design solution that meets the client's objectives.
  6. Conducting structural engineering assessments and inspections of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
  7. Undertaking analysis and design using a range of software packages including TEDDS.
  8. Ensuring the quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports, etc.) is maintained.
  9. Preparing high-quality technical reports, including structural surveys.

  • Experience with 2D & 3D modelling software would be advantageous.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook and a focus on high-quality work.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Full driving license would be beneficial.
