Job summary

Danny Sullivan Group is seeking a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor in London to lead commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages from procurement through final account.

You will work with a Tier 1 building services contractor on major London projects, delivering technically complex MEP packages and managing commercial risk across multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in MEP / M&E Quantity Surveying.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical building services knowledge.
• Strong procurement and negotiation experience.
• Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• The ability to take ownership of packages and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare valuations, cost reports and financial forecasts.
• Handle subcontract procurement and tender analysis.
• Negotiate subcontract orders and commercial agreements.
• Measure and value mechanical and electrical works.
• Manage variations and change control.
• Prepare and agree interim applications and payments.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and relationships with stakeholders.
• Review contracts and identify commercial risk.
• Identify commercial opportunities and cost savings.
• Support procurement and value engineering exercises.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and Design Teams.

The business has a strong reputation within the construction and building services sector, working onlarge-scale, technically complex projectsfor some of the capital's most prominent developments which include commercial, shell and core, data centre and life sciences all over the United Kingdom

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior MEP QS looking to join the UK;s leading building services contractor

The Role

As an MEP Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages from procurement through to final account.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing valuations, cost reports and financial forecasts
• Subcontract procurement and tender analysis
• Negotiating subcontract orders and commercial agreements
• Measuring and valuing mechanical and electrical works
• Managing variations and change control
• Preparing and agreeing interim applications and payments
• Managing subcontractor accounts
• Reviewing contracts and managing commercial risk
• Identifying commercial opportunities and cost savings
• Supporting procurement and value engineering exercises
• Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and Design Teams
• Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, clients and project stakeholders

About You

• Experience in MEP / M&E Quantity Surveying
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical building services knowledge
• Strong procurement and negotiation experience
• Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to take ownership of packages and work independently
