Job summary

Recruit Build is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join the Design Team on UK-based residential projects, including large-scale and high-rise developments. You will be supported by an experienced team and contribute to technical design, drawing production, and planning submissions.

The ideal candidate has residential housing experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and a willingness to utilize Revit.

Qualifications

• Residential/Housing experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical design drawings for RIBA Work Stages 2–6 for new build and refurbishment residential schemes.
• Produce 3D Revit models from concept design to construction issue information.
• Manage multiple projects, producing working drawings/specifications and reviewing others' work.
• Create planning, building control and construction issue drawings.

Intermediate Architectural Technologist

£35,000 salary + Car Allowance + excellent benefits

This is a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy focussed entirely on the housing sector, the business has been established for over 40 years and is one of the UK's leading specialists within this sector.

The Role

This is an opportunity for an Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join the specialist Design Team on projects throughout the UK ranging from large scale new build residential developments to complex projects with high-rise residential apartment developments.

The role is varied and you will have the full support of an experienced team to advise and give assistance as required, role will include:

• Producing technical design drawings for RIBA Work Stage 2 to 6 on both new build and refurbishment residential schemes
• Production of 3D Revit models for use from concept design to construction issue information
• Working on numerous jobs simultaneously, producing working drawings/specifications and checking/amending similar work drafted by others
• Production of planning, building control and construction issue drawings

Ideal Candidate

• Residential/Housing experience
• Knowledge and experience with AutoCad
• Knowledge and experience in Revit desirable but not essential
• Proven experience in a Design Office
• Good technical ability
• Experience in Building and Planning regulations/procedures
• Good interpersonal, communication and written articulation skills
• A team player with the determination to drive projects forward
• Personal presence and well-developed leadership skills to support and assist more junior members of the team
