Job summary

PlaceMakers Christchurch is seeking a proactive Retail Sales and Projects Consultant to promote interior category sales, coordinate product supply to sites and drive project performance for installed solutions. You will manage key supplier, subcontractor and client relationships across trade and retail projects.

Typical day includes identifying opportunities, submitting quotes, coordinating procurement, and ensuring timelines are met.

Qualifications

• Capable in relevant systems to retail or project management.
• Proven customer service and ideally with bathroom & Kitchen design experience.
• Confident, clear and accurate communicator.
• Strong team player and self-driven and proactive.
• Strong attention to detail and can organize your time and tasks effectively.
• Adaptable and able to think of alternative solutions to meet customer demands.
• Excellent time management to meet deadlines and targets.
• MS Suite experience with Excel and related programs.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and add services and solutions where possible.
• Communicate to build long-term relationships between contractors, clients and suppliers.
• Provide quotes from consultations or building plans and manage orders to site.
• Manage procurement of products into store and meet customer timelines.
• Keep customers informed of changes likely to affect their project.
• Build relationships with Trade customers by offering product support and design solutions.
• Ensure sales information is processed promptly and accurately.
• Issue resolution and practical problem solving for job-related challenges.
• Undertake projects or activities as required by the business.
• Support the team in the showroom as required.
• Demonstrate safe work processes and ensure compliance by staff and contractors.
