Job summary

Rentokil Initial Group is seeking an Interior Plant Maintenance Technician in Okehampton, England. The role involves maintaining tropical plant displays across a wide client base, with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, in a busy team environment.

You will water, feed and manage plant displays, replace worn plants, assist with installations, and help with seasonal plantings. Training will be provided, and a professional approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Plant knowledge would be advantageous.
• Horticulture qualification desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays.
• Replacing dead, dying or overgrown plant displays.
• Assist with plant display installations.
• Assist with seasonal installations.
• Ensure all maintenance dockets and documentation are completed.
• Comply with relevant health and safety and build good supplier/customer relationships.

40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role

Working as an Interior Plant Maintenance Technician, you will carry out maintenance of tropical plants within a wide sector of businesses, ensuring the best possible service is provided to our ever growing customer base.

Your main duties will include

• Be mindful of possible sales opportunities

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Full UK drivers licence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Plant knowledge would be advantageous
• Qualification in Horticulture is desirable but is not essential
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous however full training will be provided
