Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Interim Year-End Accountant in Hampshire to support the finance team during a busy year-end and audit period. This hands-on role requires taking ownership of the year-end process and interacting with external auditors.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA qualified with strong SME and group structure experience and a proven track record of managing multiple audits from the company side.

Qualifications

• ACCA or ACA qualified or equivalent audit experience.
• Proven experience leading year-end audits for owner-managed SMEs and groups.
• Strong liaison with external auditors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the year-end audit process from planning to sign-off.
• Act as primary day-to-day contact between the business and external auditors.
• Prepare and review audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate responses to audit information requests across the business.
• Resolve audit queries promptly and ensure issues are addressed.

An established Hampshire-based business is seeking an experienced Interim Year-End Accountant to provide additional support to its finance team during a busy year-end and audit period. This is a hands-on assignment for a qualified accountant who has successfully led multiple audits from the company side and can quickly take ownership of the process.

What will the Interim Year-End Accountant role involve?

• Taking ownership of the year-end audit process from planning through to final sign-off
• Acting as the primary day-to-day contact between the business and external auditors
• Preparing and reviewing audit schedules and supporting documentation
• Managing audit information requests and coordinating responses across the business
• Resolving audit queries and ensuring any issues are addressed promptly

Suitable Candidate for the Interim Year-End Accountant vacancy:

• ACCA, ACA qualified, or possess equivalent relevant experience
• Strong experience within owner-managed SMEs and group structures
• Proven track record of personally managing multiple year-end audits from the company side
• Experience acting as the key point of contact for external auditors
