Job summary

CheckFire Ltd in Wales is seeking an Interim Supply Chain Manager to lead the Procurement Team and develop a comprehensive supply chain strategy. This fixed-term maternity cover role focuses on ensuring readiness and meeting customer demands through robust planning and supplier management.

You will negotiate terms, manage inventory, analyse demand patterns, and work with Sales, Marketing and Operations to secure stock availability and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with organisational goals and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop the Procurement Team, ensuring effective task allocation.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers to secure optimal commercial outcomes.
• Analyse product sales, demand patterns, and market trends to inform decisions.
• Maintain optimal stock levels and product mixes for operational needs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Operations to ensure stock for major opportunities.
• Oversee inbound logistics and supplier performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain.
• Foster cross-functional communication for alignment.
• Support NPI and NOOS product lines forecasting.
• Monitor and report on inventory financials and take corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and inventory.
