Job summary

Orchid Healthcare is seeking an Interim Respite Manager for a small service focused on learning disabilities and mental health. The 3-month contract offers 37.5 hours per week and a pro rata salary of £38,000–£40,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience as respite or registered manager overseeing staff and services.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with local authorities and maintain high CQC standards.
• Must hold RMA / NVQ5 or equivalent.
• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
• Desirable: MCare experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager and oversee the respite service to ensure high-quality, safe, person-centred care.
• Promote independence, dignity and positive outcomes for service users.
• Ensure effective communication with staff, families and local authorities.
• Handle flexible duties and additional tasks as required by senior management.
