Job Description:

I am working exclusively with a group of private care homes to recruit for an interim Regional Employee Relations Specialist – South of England.

Role: Interim Regional Employee Relations Specialist – South of England

Length of assignment: 3 months, starting mid June 2025

Location: Home-based, covering the South of England including Devon, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Suffolk, and Worcestershire.

Salary: Approximately £52,000 plus expenses

Requirements: Driving license and car essential

Expectations: Manage your own diary with site visits 3 days a week

Job Purpose:

You will provide advice and guidance on employee relations matters including performance, conduct, engagement, and compliance. Collaborate with the People Business Partner to ensure change initiatives comply with legal frameworks and best practices.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide employee relations advice, support, and guidance to managers, ensuring legal compliance and best practices.
  2. Support managers on complex cases, including formal processes like capability, grievance, disciplinary actions, and employment tribunals.
  3. Assist with technical requirements related to consultation exercises for organizational changes.
Experience Needed:

Proven employee relations case management experience, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, harassment, and bullying claims. Ability to analyze and manage risks, delivering appropriate solutions.

Must have keen attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong understanding of UK employment law and HR practices. Staying updated on employment legislation, case law, and best practices is essential.
