Job summary

Russam Gms is seeking an experienced Interim R&D / Technical Manager for an established engineering and technology business in Ashford. You will lead a small technical team, oversee products from specification through prototyping, testing and manufacture, and strengthen development processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic or embedded hardware development.
• Practical understanding of PCB design, schematics, prototyping and testing.
• Experience taking products from concept through to manufacture.
• Strong team leadership and supplier-management capability.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing the development pipeline and setting clear priorities.
• Leading and supporting engineers and technicians.
• Strengthening engineering processes, documentation and project controls.
• Managing suppliers, manufacturing partners and external specialists.
• Supporting NPI, design for manufacture and resolution of technical or quality issues.
