Job summary

Alkegen is seeking a Quality Improvement Manager (Interim) in Widnes to lead the site’s quality function and drive continuous improvement. You will own the QMS, coordinate audits, and ensure ISO9001 compliance while delivering customer-focused quality improvements.

The role reports to the Senior Plant Manager and requires Lean Six Sigma expertise, strong leadership, and collaboration with sales, engineering and production to achieve measurable quality gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a Quality leadership role within manufacturing or chemical industry.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (Black Belt preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and customer-specific requirements.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) and quality systems (e.g., CEBOS).

Responsibilities

• Define, develop and deploy Quality and Continuous Improvement strategies.
• Own and manage the site’s Quality Management System and audits.
• Lead the Quality team and coordinate internal/external audits.
• Drive improvements to meet customer requirements and budgets.
