Goodman Masson is recruiting on behalf of a social housing organisation in Sussex for an interim Project Manager to oversee capital works and planned investment programmes across the portfolio.

You will manage budgets, contract performance and compliance with building regulations while coordinating with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, resident-focused improvements on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Capital works/planned investment management experience in social housing or local authorities.
• Experience managing contractors and construction contracts (JCT, TPC).
• Budget management, cash flow forecasting and cost control.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with resident focus.

Responsabilités

• Deliver capital works and cyclical investment projects on time and within budget.
• Oversee contractors/consultants against KPIs and milestones.
• Manage budgets, cash flow, variations and final accounts.
• Prepare specifications and schedules of work for tender.
• Ensure compliance with building regs, health and safety and policies.
• Conduct site visits, monitor progress and manage defects.
• Address delays, access issues, risks with corrective actions.
• Manage resident communications and enquiries for a positive experience.
• Support investment programme delivery with accurate records.
• Coordinate works with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Prepare reports and chair meetings; provide technical construction advice.
