Marks Sattin is working in partnership with an industry-leading organisation in Central Birmingham to recruit an Interim Project Accountant - Fixed Assets for a 2-3 month interim assignment. The role offers hybrid working, with 2-3 days in the office weekly.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will have experience in Fixed Asset Accounting to support a major reconciliation project following the implementation of Oracle Fusion. Responsibilities include managing the fixed asset register in Excel, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and adjustments of physical assets to the ledger. Additionally, you will assist the Finance Transformation Manager in enhancing the Fixed Asset Register process within Oracle Fusion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct comprehensive reconciliation of physical assets to the ledger.
2. Analyze discrepancies and calculate necessary adjustments.
3. Maintain accurate fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
4. Collaborate with internal teams to improve fixed asset tracking and reporting.
5. Provide insights and recommendations to optimise asset management.

Candidate Requirements

1. Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA
2. Proven experience in fixed asset accounting, including reconciliation
3. Strong knowledge of financial reporting and asset management principles
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
5. Experience with Oracle (desirable but not essential)
6. Ability to work independently and within a project-focused team
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
8. Must be within a commutable distance to Birmingham, as the role requires 2-3 days in the office
