Job summary

Essential Employment is seeking an Interim Policy Manager to lead the Policy Team in Esher. The role is full-time hours on a temporary basis, with responsibilities spanning policy development, service management and organisational change initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing policy teams and service management.
• Ability to lead policy development and organisational change programmes.
• Strong record of performance reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and day-to-day management of the Policy Team.
• Lead development, implementation and review of corporate policies and priorities.
• Oversee workload planning, performance targets and reporting to senior teams.
• Support, motivate and develop staff through performance management and PD planning.
• Oversee Overview & Scrutiny support and provide briefings to elected members.
