Page Personnel in Coventry seeks an experienced Interim Operations Manager to lead manufacturing and operations teams to deliver site KPIs, cost controls and safety.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior manufacturing or operations leadership role.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments (aerospace/defence/precision).
• Proven ability to drive productivity, efficiency and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Experience leading large teams through supervisors and team leaders.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety, quality systems and regulatory compliance.
• Lean Six Sigma, IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are beneficial.

Responsibilities

Due to ongoing operational requirements and a continued focus on performance improvement, they are seeking an experienced Interim Operations Manager to join their team in Coventry.

Job Description

• Leading manufacturing and operational teams to achieve business and site KPIs.
• Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the facility.
• Ensuring compliance with all health & safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Managing labour utilisation, productivity improvements, waste reduction and operational costs.
• Developing, coaching and mentoring operational leaders to build capability and succession within the team.
• Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, HR and Finance teams to achieve site objectives.
• Supporting operational transformation, capital investment projects and business improvement programmes.
• Monitoring operational budgets and implementing corrective actions where required.
• Driving efficiency, throughput, OTIF performance and customer service improvements.
• Supporting customer demands within highly regulated industrial, defence and aerospace environments.
• Creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement across the operation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Operations Manager should have:

• Significant experience within a senior manufacturing or operations leadership role.
• Previous experience in industrial manufacturing, aerospace, defence, engineering or precision manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production management and operational performance improvement.
• Demonstrated success in delivering productivity, efficiency and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Experience managing large operational teams through supervisors and team leaders.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety, quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Operational Excellence methodologies.
• Strong commercial awareness with budget and cost centre management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
• Lean Six Sigma, IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications would be beneficial.
