Job summary

Catering is seeking an experienced interim manager to take control of a well-regarded nursing home in Chelmsford. You will provide visible leadership through a transition, ensuring residents continue to receive safe, person-centred care while the service improves.

You will lead clinical and care teams, drive governance and quality initiatives, and maintain compliant, efficient operations in a busy care environment. This contract role offers daily rates in the 370–400 range.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in elderly care or nursing homes.
• Experience with governance, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of CQC standards and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the nursing home, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred care.
• Lead and supervise nursing and care teams to foster a positive, accountable culture.
• Oversee clinical governance, audits, incident reviews and action plans to maintain Good standards.
• Monitor care quality and drive service improvements across the home.
• Manage staffing, rostering and workforce allocation to ensure safe care.
• Ensure policies and documentation meet regulatory requirements.
