Job summary

Jarrodean Healthcare Recruitment seeks a Registered Nurse leader to head a 40-bed residential, nursing and dementia home on Guernsey. You will oversee governance, clinical care and day-to-day operations, reporting to the director and owner.

You will lead the team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for residents, including those with dementia, while ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. Interim or permanent appointment.

Job description

Applications are invited from suitably-experienced Registered Nurses to lead the team at our clients 40 bedded Residential, Nursing & Dementia Care Home on the beautiful Island of Guernsey , in the Channel Islands.
This role is initially offered on an interim basis, with a salary of £1,500 per week based on an annual salary of £75,000, relocation is paid and accommodation is provided.
Applications are also invited for this role on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Director and owner of the home you will be;

• an integral part of the home’s management team
• accountable leader for the safe, effective and compassionate operation of the Home
• provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership to ensure residents – particularly those living with dementia or cognitive impairment receive high‑quality, person‑centred care in line with regulatory standards, organisational values and evidence‑based best practice.
• responsible for governance, compliance, workforce development, financial stewardship and fostering a culture of dignity, respect and continuous improvement.

The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000.
It has some of Britain’s finest and best-kept beaches, an especially mild and sunny climate, and an offbeat, historic harbour town in St. Peter’s Port, the island’s capital.

Person requirements

• A Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Current or recent experience in leading a Care Home; providing visible, values‑driven leadership that promotes a positive, inclusive and learning‑focused culture
• Experienced as a Champion of best practice in dementia care, ensuring all care is person‑centred, rights‑based and aligned with current evidence
• Passionate and committed to ensuring delivery of true person‑centred care.
