Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a global engineering and manufacturing organisation to recruit an Interim Network Engineer. You will design, implement, support, and optimise enterprise network infrastructure across UK and EMEA, working with regional IT teams on BAU and project delivery.

The role requires CCNA (CCNP desirable), 5+ years in network engineering, strong Cisco routing/switching, and SD-WAN/IPsec/VPN expertise. Based Derby with occasional Midlands travel; 6-month contract, Inside IR35.

Qualifications

CCNA certification required (minimum) with CCNP preferred.
5+ years' experience in network engineering roles.
Strong Cisco routing and switching experience.
Proficiency with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and other routing protocols.
Experience with WAN technologies and SD-WAN solutions.
Knowledge of VPN technologies, IPsec and network security.
Experience supporting Cisco and/or Palo Alto firewall environments.
Strong troubleshooting and network analysis capabilities.
Wireless networking design and support experience.
Exposure to datacentre networking and Cisco Nexus technologies would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across UK/EMEA.
Provide BAU support and project delivery across multiple sites.
Produce and maintain technical documentation.
Support manufacturing and OT environments.
Work with ServiceNow, Jira and other PM tools.
Role based at Derby HQ with occasional travel to Midlands sites.
