Job summary

Morgan McKinley (Milton Keynes) is seeking an Interim NetSuite Migration Lead to own a critical 3-month migration from Xero to NetSuite. The role focuses on architecture, data transformation, and seamless cutover while leveraging AI tools to accelerate the project.

You will co-deliver the first NetSuite month-end and prepare audit-ready documentation, ensuring the finance team can operate independently after go-live.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one Xero to NetSuite migration end-to-end through go-live.
• Proficiency with Excel, SQL, Python or equivalent scripting for data transformation.
• Understanding of multi-currency, multi-entity UK statutory reporting and audit standards.
• Experience applying AI tools to finance or data migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Own the migration architecture, chart of accounts design and data transformation from Xero to NetSuite.
• Conduct sandbox trial runs, log and clear defects, reconcile trial balances and AR/AP ageing.
• Rebuild key integration points, including the Salesforce interface.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline data cleaning, transformation and draft documentation.
• Guide the finance team through sandbox environments and co-deliver the first NetSuite month-end.

About the Company

I am currently partnering with a growing technology client based in Milton Keynes who is transitioning their core finance infrastructure from Xero to Oracle NetSuite across two entities. They are seeking a dedicated Interim NetSuite Migration Lead to take single-point ownership of this critical 3-month transition through to a fixed cutover deadline. Beyond executing the migration, my client is looking for a forward-thinking specialist who leverages AI tools and smart automation (mapping scripts, automated data cleansing, variance checks) to accelerate the project while ensuring the internal finance team is left fully self-sufficient.

About the Role

They are seeking a dedicated Interim NetSuite Migration Lead to take single-point ownership of this critical 3-month transition through to a fixed cutover deadline, execute the migration, leverage AI tools and smart automation to accelerate the project, and ensure the internal finance team is left fully self-sufficient.

Responsibilities

• Own the migration architecture, chart of accounts design, segment hierarchy, and data transformation from Xero to NetSuite.
• Conduct sandbox trial runs, log/clear defects, and reconcile trial balances, AR/AP ageing, and deferred revenue schedules.
• Rebuild key business integration points, including the interface with Salesforce.
• Utilize practical AI tools to streamline data cleaning, transformation, and draft documentation while maintaining strict control boundaries.
• Walk the finance team through sandbox environments, co-deliver the first NetSuite month-end, and provide audit-ready documentation.

Required Skills

• You must have completed at least one Xero to NetSuite migration hands-on through to go-live. (This is the primary filter)
• Advanced Excel, SQL, Python, or equivalent transformation scripting skills.
• Strong understanding of multi-currency, multi-entity UK statutory reporting and audit standards.
• Evidenced, practical experience applying AI tools to finance or data migration projects

Outside IR35 - Day Rate - £675 - £750
