Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Interim Operations Manager to lead three Leicester-based sites, driving performance across safety, productivity, cost control and customer service.

You will assess operations quickly, engage teams, implement continuous improvement, manage budgets and stakeholder relationships, and support growth initiatives while ensuring compliance and delivering KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Interim/Multisite Operations leadership role.
• Track record of delivering KPI improvements across multiple sites.
• Strong health, safety and environmental compliance knowledge.
• Experience managing operational teams across locations.
• Excellent people leadership, coaching and performance management.
• Solid commercial and financial acumen.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight across three Leicester-based sites (1 Main site, 2 smaller).
• Drive a strong health, safety, environmental and compliance culture.
• Manage operational teams to achieve business objectives.
• Ensure sites operate efficiently, meeting KPIs for productivity, quality, service and cost.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead workforce planning, resource allocation and succession planning activities.
• Monitor budgets, operational expenditure and financial performance.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, environmental and company standards.
• Produce operational reports and present performance updates to senior management.
• Support growth initiatives, new projects and operational change programmes.
