Job summary

IFRS Foundation in London is seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join the Finance team on a fixed-term basis to support the year-end close for 31 December 2026 and the external audit through March 2027, while handling month-end reporting and reconciliations.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role will own the month-end close for designated entities, maintain balance sheet integrity, review reconciliations, and collaborate with the FP&A team to ensure accurate trial

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a technical management accounting or general ledger role in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
• Strong experience with balance sheet control, reconciliations, and complex month-end close processes.
• Hands-on experience preparing management accounts with commentary and reviewing trial balances.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end month-end close process and prepare comprehensive management accounts with variance commentary.
• Perform technical reviews of month-end close packages and reconciliations for other entities.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure correct accruals and analyse variances before FP&A handover.
• Maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations to promptly investigate and resolve items.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across regional entities.
• Support year-end audit files, trial balances, and external auditor inquiries.
