Job summary

MacGregor Black is supporting a growing business near Dundee to hire an Interim Management Accountant for an initial six-month contract. The role requires a hands-on finance professional who can quickly understand current reporting and processes and drive practical improvements.

You will work with the wider finance team and operational stakeholders to enhance management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and to strengthen financial controls and the accuracy of information.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, practical finance professional with experience improving reporting and processes.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and improving existing management reporting and MI
• Preparing and analysing monthly management accounts
• Updating and developing financial reports and reporting packs
• Identifying gaps and opportunities to improve existing finance processes
• Improving the accuracy, quality and presentation of financial information
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Providing analysis and insight to understand performance
• Working with stakeholders to improve flow of financial information
• Strengthening financial controls and reporting processes
• Ad-hoc analysis and improvement projects
• Taking ownership of issues and resolving them
