Job summary

Macildowie Recruitment and Retention in Leicestershire seeks a hands-on Finance Analyst on a 4-6 month interim basis. You will cover month-end, journals, reconciliations and ad-hoc analysis while working with a wider finance team and operational colleagues. Office-based, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, immediate start. You’ll need strong Excel skills and attention to detail to drive accurate reporting during a period of change.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.
• Experience with month-end and reconciliations.
• Analytical finance experience with attention to detail.
• Comfortable with change and process transitions.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with month-end processes including journals, accruals and prepayments
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting management accounts production
• Maintaining finance trackers and reporting schedules in Excel
• Reviewing financial data and investigating discrepancies across ledgers and cost centres
• Liaising with operational teams to resolve data and reporting queries
• Getting involved in ad-hoc projects and analysis as the finance team navigates a period of transition
• Providing general support to the wider finance function as priorities shift
