Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training is seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join a busy finance team in a fast-paced FMCG/foodservice environment. The three-month fixed-term contract requires delivering accurate weekly and monthly management accounts and providing meaningful financial analysis under tight deadlines.

You will work closely with the Financial Controller, supporting reporting, controls and commercial decision-making, with a hands-on approach to stock accounting,

Qualifications

• Experience producing monthly and weekly management accounts.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of stock accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, accruals and prepayments.
• Produce weekly flash P&L with commentary on performance.
• Analyse variances against budget and forecast with operational managers.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, stock accounting, fixed assets and lease accounting.
• Oversee intercompany and inter-depot reconciliations and rebate accounting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Provide financial analysis and commentary for management and board reporting.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, sales commissions and ad-hoc projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.
