Job summary

Cherry Professional are recruiting an experienced Management Accountant to join a growing business in Nottingham on an initial 3 month contract. You will support key finance operations, deliver accurate month-end reporting and help drive process improvements.

The ideal candidate is ACCA/CIMA qualified or actively studying, with strong month-end and reconciliation experience, attention to detail and the ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA qualification or current study status.
• Experience as a Management Accountant.
• Strong month-end, reporting and reconciliation experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to build relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepayments
• Prepare and review P&L and balance sheet reports
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
• Support payroll accounting and month-end processes
• Assist with revenue recognition and financial compliance
• Provide financial insight and analysis to operational and commercial stakeholders
• Support finance transformation initiatives, system improvements and project work
• Ensure strong financial controls and reporting accuracy throughout

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to support key finance operations, deliver accurate month-end reporting and help drive process improvements on an initial 3 month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepayments


• Prepare and review P&L and balance sheet reports


• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items


• Support payroll accounting and month-end processes

About You:

• ACCA/CIMA qualified or actively studying


• Previous experience in a Management Accountant role


• Strong month-end, reporting and reconciliation experience
