Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for an interim opportunity in a large and complex organisation? Do you have experience handling complex budgets and dealing with high volumes of fast-moving data? Do you want to be in a progressive organisation and environment?

My client is seeking an interim Management Accountant on a six-month fixed term contract to focus on a particular niche budget area with an annual spend exceeding £m. This area is highly scrutinised and in the public eye, presenting unique challenges and opportunities for the successful candidate.

In this role, you will work closely with a Finance Manager and Senior Accountant to ensure the smooth running of the month-end process, including the preparation of management accounts. The key responsibilities are to:

• Ensure the smooth running of the month-end process and prepare management accounts.
• Complete budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Handle complex reconciliations.
• Monitor fluctuating figures and last-minute variances.
• Provide clear and accurate financial information to senior leadership.

This is an area where deep scrutiny is expected and required and the customer service delivery to internal finance and external stakeholders is absolutely critical, meaning this is an excellent role for someone looking to develop towards a Finance Business Partner role.
