Interim contract role starting July 2025

• Day Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Hays Senior Finance team is exclusively recruiting for a confidential interim opportunity with a dynamic and growing business group. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Interim Management Accountant to provide essential support during a critical ERP implementation phase. This hands-on role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial results across two UK-based entities, while also supporting cross-border finance processes with two parent companies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and complete all month-end processes within five working days
2. Prepare detailed commercial reports for internal stakeholders, customers, and parent companies
3. Deliver weekly internal sales performance reports
4. Submit monthly VAT returns and rebate statements
5. Maintain the fixed asset register and support currency revaluation
6. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and journal input
7. Provide analysis of product margins, transport costs, stock valuations, and labour costs
8. Review KPIs relating to product volumes and production costs

Ideal Candidate Profile:

1. Proven experience in a management accounting or similar finance role
2. Strong understanding of month-end procedures and reporting requirements
3. Confident using accounting software and Excel for reporting and analysis
4. Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently
5. Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, FP&A, Finance)
6. Ideally available to start in July or shortly after.
