Surrey Housing Association in the United Kingdom is seeking an Interim Major Works Surveyor to lead complex repair and major works projects on a hybrid basis. You’ll manage technical surveys, defect diagnosis, contractor oversight, and budget control to deliver high-quality outcomes for social housing.

This interim role offers hybrid working arrangements and a daily rate up to £375. The role requires proactivity, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to drive projects from inception

Qualifications

• Strong technical surveying knowledge and defect diagnosis skills.
• Experience preparing specifications and managing contractors.
• Ability to manage budgets and variations on complex projects.

Responsabilités

• Manage complex repair projects from diagnosis through to completion.
• Investigate and specify remedial works for structural defects, water ingress, roofing, drainage, subsidence, and insurance repairs.
• Procure and instruct contractors, oversee delivery, cost control, and variations.
• Monitor quality, compliance and customer satisfaction across each project lifecycle.
