Your new company
A global operational analytics company is looking for a legal counsel to join their remote-working legal team on an interim basis, with the opportunity to go permanent depending on performance. This company specialises in providing vital data to organisations in the energy, agriculture, and weather industries.

Your new role
Reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting the company's commercial operations. The role is primarily focused on sales and procurement agreements, but also offers the opportunity to contribute to broader legal areas. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure legal compliance and commercial efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, NDAs, and subcontracts
• Supporting sales teams and client representatives with contract management and delivery expectations
• Identifying and escalating legal risks, and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders
• Providing basic support across the business on local corporate governance matters
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously and contributing to strategic legal initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified solicitor with approximately 2-3 years' PQE (flexible for the right candidate) and a strong foundation in commercial contract law. Experience with SaaS agreements is desirable. You'll be confident in your legal judgment and comfortable reviewing non-UK legal matters.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

• Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
• Experience in data protection, corporate law, or intellectual property would be a plus.
