Job summary

Altum Consulting is seeking an experienced Technical Accounting Manager (Interim / FTC) to support a London-based media group through year-end reporting and audit. You will own complex IFRS accounting matters and deliver technical accounting papers.

You will coordinate year-end deliverables with external auditors, review group IFRS financial statements, strengthen controls, and drive resolution of outstanding issues with senior finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with strong IFRS expertise.
• Experience preparing accounting papers and auditor liaison.
• Proven ability to deliver year-end reporting and controls improvements.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead on complex IFRS accounting matters, preparing technical accounting papers and supporting key management judgements.
• Coordinate year-end reporting deliverables and act as a key point of contact for external auditors.
• Support the preparation and review of Group IFRS financial statements and annual report disclosures.
• Strengthen financial reporting controls, including requirements relating to Provision 29 of the UK Corporate Governance Code.
• Lead detailed balance sheet reviews, identifying risks, challenging balances and driving resolution of outstanding issues.
• Work closely with senior finance stakeholders to ensure reporting deadlines are met and processes run efficiently.
